  • The second of two giant Christmas decoration bears are offloaded from a sub-contractor's lorry and delivered to the foyer of the Cafe Royal in Air Street, on 1st December 2020, in London, England. The bears have been manufactured by Romanian Eugeniu Dumneanu's Art-Grass company, a synthetic grass and turf provider specialising in the covering of surfaces and instillations with artificial grass and Astroturf.

Stratford was the home of the London 2012 Olympics where industrial estates centred around Carpenters Road were demolished to make way for sports venues  and now, after 8 years, for extensive housing.   • An activist against the proposed felling of two 100+ year-old oak trees, occupies the site under  'Pissarro's' footbridge whose renovation has been deemed necessary by the Southwark Council , on 17th November 2020, in London, England. The Nunhead to Crystal Palace (High Level) railway once passed through the Wood and Impressionist artist Camille Pissarro (1830–1903) famously painted a railway landscape from the bridge in the 1870s. Sydenham Hill Wood forms part of the largest remaining tract of the old Great North Wood, a vast area of worked coppices and wooded commons that once stretched across south London. The habitat is home to more than 200 species of trees and plants as well as rare fungi, insects, birds and woodland mammals.

Although most workers are still working from home, the continuing pandemic restrictions are damaging small buinesses anf the wider UK economy. The current lockdown is to last at least 4 weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
