Deck-chairs on a wet Brighton pier.
Four water-logged deckchairs have been abandoned on a wet Brighton's East Pier in East Sussex. It is Spring but the rain has driven away holidaymakers from this desolate and depressing spot from England's South coast seaside resort. We see a gloomy, grey sky and empty horizon with neither people, nor water activity but the stripes of the railings are echoed in the reflective wooden planks on this Victorian-era pier and of the fabric on the deckchairs. We wonder who might have sat on these chairs and where they might be now? This landscape might be the antithesis of a holiday poster that repels rather than attracts tourists to this location.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
