Jessops' store closures made over 1,350 staff redundant when they shut up shop at the start of the year with administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers admitting that at least some of the 192 stores would close. Other high-street chains such as HMV and the video chain, Blockbuster also closed at the beginning of 2013..
