  • A lady and her pet green Iguanas stop walking along the surf in Miami Beach's coast for a moment to stand on the sand and kiss on the lips. Away from its proper habitat, this reptile looks comfortable in the hands of its affectionate mothering owner and in this warm climate. These exotic lizards' live in tropical rainforests, in lower altitudes near water sources, such as rivers or streams. They spend most of their time high in the forest canopy, about 40-50 feet above the ground. Iguanas are diurnal, awake during the day. They are also cold-blooded, so they do not produce their own body heat, so need warm temperatures to thrive. Many people in the United States and elsewhere want a green iguana for a pet, so there is a big demand for their capture.

The Port of Ramsgate has been identified as a 'Brexit Port' by the government of Prime Minister Theresa May, currently negotiating the UK's exit from the EU. Britain's Department of Transport has awarded to an unproven shipping company, Seaborne Freight, to provide run roll-on roll-off ferry services to the road haulage industry between Ostend and the Kent port - in the event of more likely No Deal Brexit. In the EU referendum of 2016, people in Kent voted strongly in favour of leaving the European Union with 59% voting to leave and 41% to remain.

  • Lingerie-clad models stage a protest by the animal rights organisation, Peta against the suffering of animals, on 17th Febriary 2017, in London, England, United Kingdom. The group stripped off into matching green underwear and crocodile masks before posing outside the show's main venue on the Strand in central London. Peta is campaigning against the use of exotic animal skins in the fashion industry. It follows an investigation of crocodile farms which found animals were confined to pits and sometimes still alive when their skin was torn off, Peta said. London Fashion Week is a clothing trade show held in London twice each year, in February and September. It is one of the "Big Four" fashion weeks, along with the New York, Milan and Paris. The fashion sector plays a significant role in the UK economy with London Fashion Week alone estimated to rake in £269 million each season. The six-day industry event allows designers to show their collections to buyers, journalists and celebrities and also maintains the city’s status as a top fashion capital.

  • Despite a gloriously bright summer afternoon, we see a depressing corner of Southend-on-Sea's Adventure Island. A young couple sits on some white towels in front of a wall that is adorned with graffiti and has its paint rubbed away. It is a scene of squalor and desolation in a town that makes revenue from the day-tripper holiday market. Since Victorian times, many Londoners have traditionally come to this south-east coast on the Thames Estuary, close to the capital. Towns like this have seen a marked decline since the advent of the package tourism in favour of exotic beaches in Spain.

  • Beneath an ugly breeze block concrete wall, a couple are enjoying their holiday in the English seaside town of Paignton, Devon. Sitting in striped deckchairs they are both curiously touching their own genital areas between their legs, perhaps both scratching an itch. The lady in sunglasses wearing a floral dress on the left looks guilty while her topless male partner appears more amused by the interruption. In this depressing corner of Paignton, also called the English Riviera, the grey construction behind them is a grim reminder of what it is often like to holiday in one's own home country where few exotic luxuries are found. Such squalor is unfortunately common around the UK and a reason why people take their vacations abroad. Even the grass below them is bare with weeds growing and soil at the foot of the wall.
