The Savoy Taylors Guild shop ? right next to the Savoy Hotel in London?s Strand ? was in itself an immaculate example of the craftsmanship of the times, with elegant brass-fronted windows shining out on the changing and developing world of the Edwardian era.

With the arrow pointing downwards we see it from below along with the airplane's red fuselage and the words Royal Air Force stencilled in blue lettering on the side within a white stripe. There are strong angles with clear blue space on the top right. The colours that dominate this image are red, white and blue - the colors of the Union Jack, United Kingdom's flag. This scene is at RAF Akrotiri, Cypus where the Red Arrows put the finishing touches to their display sequences before starting the gruelling air show calendar in the UK and Europe. The squadron represents all that is perfect with aerobatic flying, about teamwork and discipline.

This is Lombard Street, originally a piece of land granted by King Edward I to goldsmiths from the part of northern Italy known as Lombardy (larger than the modern region of Lombardy). It is a narrow and usually dark sidestreet near the Bank of England in the heart of what is called the Square Mile - the inner-part and oldest quarter of London occupied first by the Romans 2,000 years ago. Nowadays the City of London is home to banks and financial institutions but also with a resident population of under 10,000 but a daily working population of 311,000.

Carnival's ships are known for their Las Vegas decor and entertainment, calling its vessels Fun Ships. One young lady  wears a bikini featuring a patriotic Stars and Stripes. The MS Ecstasy is a Fantasy class cruise ship featuring two pools, whirlpools, a variety of dining options, nightclubs, a casino, and duty-free shopping.

  • During a journey into America's hinterlands, days after the September 11th attacks in New York and Washington DC, an American flag has been sprayed with aerosol paint on a grassy knoll by a local garage owner near Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. In outpourings of grief, anger and patriotic rhetoric, flags were flown as never before as  America sought to express their emotions and a unity. A spotlight shines across the bank to show passing motorists the creative stars and stripes artwork on the roadside. Sinking Spring's Native American tribe in this were known as the Minsi or Wolf tribe who had the reputation for being quite warlike at times..
